Les Énergies de la Terre

Kokou Ferdinand Makouvia and Christian Gonzenbach

Energy is at the heart of creation: from the earth’s depths, where it is extracted, to the furnaces it fuels, trace its journey.

Whether natural or transformed, stored or in motion, spectacular or invisible, energy is everywhere. Originally referring to a set of physical phenomena and then to their use in scientific applications, energy is now synonymous with geopolitical, economic, environmental, and social challenges.

Inseparable from artistic activity in general, energy is present at every stage of the creation of a ceramic piece. This heritage exhibition, with a strong emphasis on contemporary creation, brings art and science together. Created by the Adrien Dubouché National Museum in Limoges, it has been adapted to the cultural and social context of La Louvière.
